It will be held at Shibuya (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).

Since it was first held in 2016, it has been held with the aim of providing a place where speakers and visitors can share “this moment” and empathize with each other. ■Four specialists in each field give a valuable talk exclusive to this project This time, four people will be on stage: 1. Neuroscientist Kenichiro Mogi, 2. Urban producer and professor emeritus of Aoyama Gakuin University Norio Iguchi, 3. Fashion designer Kosuke Tsumura, and 4. Lighting designer Akari Ishii. You can enjoy a valuable talk exclusive to this project that can only be heard here. JIDF has been holding “INTER-DESIGN FORUM TOKYO” since 2013. Each time we have had a different theme, such as “Provocative Design” (2014) and “Edo and the Future Seen from the Edo Period” (2015), transmitting messages from JIDF members and other people active in various fields. By interacting and educating each other beyond the boundaries of their respective specialized genres, we aim to generate unprecedented ideas and “design culture” in Japan and the world from a multifaceted perspective. Since its establishment in 1990 (former organization name: Japan Cultural Design Conference/-1989), we have held over 30 forums in major cities in Japan. In August 2011, we started anew as the “Japanese Culture Design Forum, a general incorporated association.” “INTER-DESIGN FORUM TOKYO” has been held every year since 2013, the seventh anniversary of the death of architect Kisho Kurokawa, the founder of this forum, and continues to disseminate messages from professionals who are leading the way in various fields such as design, architecture, and art. Additionally, in 2018, we newly established the “JIDF Student Cultural Design Award” with the aim of supporting projects conceived by the next generation of young people.
