Globe-Trotter is launching its first collaboration collection in five years to support Elephant Family, a charity working to protect wildlife in Asia. Elephant Family is committed to protecting endangered species in Asia, including the Asian elephant, whose survival is at risk. In partnership with local conservation experts and surrounding communities who live alongside wildlife, Elephant Family works to address the root causes of conservation issues, including restoring and conserving habitats, protecting endangered species in high-risk areas, and promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife.

Reflecting the forest hues of the Asian elephant’s habitat, the new Globe-Trotter x Elephant Family collection features an earthy olive Vulcan Fiber body with dark Kelly Green leather trim. When you open the case, you’ll find “The Parade” by artist Rebecca Campbell, a painting of a migratory family of Asian elephants, inside the suitcase, promising a safe journey by staying with the herd until you reach your
destination.

I was so lucky to witness them in the Indian wilderness,” said Globe-Trotter. “I am thrilled and honoured to be working with Globe-Trotter again to raise funds and awareness for the conservation of Asian elephants, together with the incredible charity Elephant Family. And I am so thrilled that my work has been featured in the interiors of this beautiful new handmade collection.”

Featured in a 1912-13 catalogue, this strength test took place at Hamburg’s zoo and the iconic image of Elephant John proudly standing atop a Globe-Trotter steamer trunk is still used today. Globe-Trotter will donate 10% of sales from this collection to Elephant Family’s work to honor their contributions to environmental conservation and to protect modern-day “Elephant John” who faces the threat of human-wildlife conflict. The Globe-Trotter x Elephant Family collection will be available at directly managed stores nationwide from Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
