This event is positioned as a related project of the international exhibition “Futurotextiles 7” co-hosted by Yanmar Holdings and the non-profit cultural organization lille3000 (Lille Trois Milles) in Lille, France. OIF was in charge of planning and running the fashion show, which was the main program of the “Nagai Collection.” In addition to showcasing the work of OIF students, they also presented a variety of content, including a dance performance in collaboration with the Shibashima High School dance club and adaptive fashion for people with disabilities. The students’ creative and socially conscious works attracted the attention of many visitors to Nagai Park, making it a truly meaningful endeavor that demonstrated the fun and diversity of fashion. ■How I joined this project “Futurotextiles “Lille 3000” is an international exhibition organized by the non-profit cultural organization Lille 3000 in France, a city with a thriving textile industry, and has toured world expo sites around the world, including Shanghai, Milan, and Dubai. This time, it will be coming to Japan for the first time to coincide with the “Osaka-Kansai Expo,” and will be held at Nagai Park thanks to the cooperation of Yanmar Holdings. For this event, Wakuwaku Park Create Co., Ltd., a member of the Yanmar Group and the designated manager of Nagai Park, has launched a project for the Nagai
Collection, which will be centered around a fashion show, as a related event to Futurotextiles 7, and has approached OIF for cooperation. The opportunity arose when a representative from the company attended the fashion show at OIF’s graduation project presentation held in February 2025 and was deeply impressed by the expressiveness of the students and the perfection of their work. After that, they received an official request for cooperation, and this collaboration was realized. ■Event report ・Opening act The dance club “K-jack” from Osaka Prefectural Shibashima High School performed a dance performance wearing costumes made and styled by students from the stylist department.
