This time, we focused on two types of highly durable leather (bridle leather and dipwork harness) to check the real waterproof performance of the material, which can only be determined by getting it wet. For comparison, we also prepared regular tanned leather. • General tanned leather • Bridle leather (originating in the UK, traditional leather for horse tack) • Dip Work Harness (Oil leather used in harsh environments, made by Wickett & Craig, USA) We splashed water on these leathers to check the surface reaction, the presence or absence of stains, and the water repellency.
