(Headquarters: Fuchu City, Hiroshima Prefecture; CEO: Takahisa Uchida) has decided to continue its efforts to use recycled origami crane threads to make sneakers and send a message of peace through shoes, which it has carried out twice in the past, in 2025. Two recycled origami crane sneaker models, “SP-1005” and “SP-1005D”, will be released at SPINGLE specialty stores nationwide, domestic and overseas shoe shops, and the official online store from June 25, 2025. ■Planning history 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing and the end of the war. The importance of peace is being conveyed on a global scale, such as the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Hidankyo amidst the current state of uncertainty around the world. Given this unusual and special background, we believe that this is an opportunity to more strongly convey messages about peace, Hiroshima, and the stories that origami cranes tell. We have decided to release the “Origami Crane Recycled Sneakers” in two product numbers and eight colors, adding the “SP-1005D,” a seven-color version inspired by the rainbow that symbolizes peace, to the “SP-1005” that has been produced twice in the past.

The upper fabric and shoelaces are dyed in seven colors by skilled craftsmen, and the color names are taken from traditional colors that have been handed down in Japan since ancient times.
