DEMEULEMEESTER’s SS25 collection was born from memories of the end of summer and fragments of vague emotions. Lace, light knits, and supple tailoring. Ripped denim, scarves and robes bring freedom of style. Roughness and delicacy, consciousness and unconsciousness, love and friendship. By dressing, one searches for and finds one’s true self – this is the journey of the heart that we depict.

The moon motif, which was invented for the Autumn/Winter 2003 collection and is a frequent feature of Ann Demeulemeester’s world, has long reoccurred as an important symbol of solitude and rhythm in the brand’s visual language, a symbol of quiet transformation. In the new version, Stefano Gallici’s pale, imperfect moon floating in a black space is reconstructed into a sharper, more graphic expression while retaining the raw poetry of the moon. The graphic, with its dark and romantic silhouette, emerges midway through a dream, exuding a ritualistic presence like a punctuation mark in a vivid and minimalist night.

He discovered fashion while exploring the worlds of punk rock, indie and garage, and was fascinated by the connection between musical and aesthetic expression, making it the basis of his creative exploration. In 2016 he enrolled in the Fashion Design course at the IUAV University of Venice, which explores fashion from its technical and cultural aspects, based on the vision of Maria Luisa Frisa and Mario Lupano. During the first years, he honed his knowledge of sewing and pattern making through various experiences as an apprentice. In 2017, he collaborated with Haider Ackermann for nine months, dividing his time between Paris and Antwerp. He then returned to Venice, graduating in 2018. At the beginning of the following year, he moved to Milan to work with the Antonioli Group. In 2020, the year the brand was acquired, Galich became part of Ann Demeulemeester’s team. In 2023, he became Creative Director. His vision for the brand is a fusion of musical taste and respect for Ann’s work, expressed as a vivid and unique signature. About ANN DEMEULEMEESTER The brand was founded in 1985. As an important member of the Antwerp Six, it took the fashion world by storm. With elegant tailoring and a monochrome color scheme based on black and white, it creates a tranquil, dark and romantic world that combines edgy rebelliousness and sophistication. Stefano Gallici will take over as Creative Director from the Spring/Summer 2024 season.
