For AMIRI’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Mike Amiri imagines hotels as the setting for his fantasy. It starts with a homage to the iconic locations of Hollywood, then expands into a journey to various places around the world. If last season was a night at Club AMIRI, this season is a bright and sunny day at Chateau AMIRI. It is a space that makes you forget reality, and it is like the morning of a new day with the lingering feeling of the previous night. Everything associated with hotel life – casual meals, monogrammed slippers and robes, rich interiors and tassel keys. These elements provide the aesthetic clues for the collection, set in a beautifully reimagined grand hotel where myriad environments and ports of call merge, and where a colorful cast of characters from film, music, art and everyday life mingle, borrowing each other’s identities to create new looks. The inspiration came from his friend and Los Angeles-based artist Wes Lang, who holed himself up in room 34 of the city’s legendary Chateau Marmont hotel to create a work inspired by the American history of which the hotel is a part. The bird illustrations he originally drew on hotel stationery are embroidered and
jacquard-woven in the collection, flying among beaded plants and fusing opposites such as exterior and interior, human and nature, leisure and formality in fashion, relaxed and sophisticated. The Amiri archetype is one of continuity, refinement and evolution. The loose tailoring, cut with soft shoulders, is lightened by reducing the lining by half. Reminiscent of the late 1970s, silhouettes are tailored to flow with a style that would look great on the California coast or Riviera. Elongated lapels and draped silhouettes bring a new casual elegance to both men and women. Loungewear such as pyjamas, robes and smoking jackets are expressed in silk and embroidered patterns, and combine with relaxed summer tailoring. The color palette is positive and light-hearted, with sun-bleached colors that evoke our lives under the sun – mint, raspberry, pale blue, green and gold. Craft has always been at the heart of Amiri, and feathers become embellishments like ruffles and embroidered details on tuxedo shirts. Intricate beading brings to life patterns that mimic ornaments, monograms, wallpapers and upholstery, which you’ll see upon entering a suite at Chateau Amiri. Vintage meets modern, embodying a
free-spirited wardrobe and style that’s typical of Los Angeles. Pajamas are worn with embellished evening jackets, like a Hollywood idol’s private, out-of-the-spotlight moments. Footwear ranges from hotel slippers to soft-back moccasin styles, or is available in jacquards, prints and embroidered with the Amiri crest. For its second season, the women’s collection has expanded, with delicate open knits and full-length dresses in exquisite crochet, alongside jewel-toned suits in flowing silks and delicate lace lingerie, evoking a relaxed California glamour. For Spring/Summer 2026, a new women’s accessory will be the Honey bag. Crafted from crocodile-embossed suede and supple leather, the bag’s relaxed shape reflects the collection’s relaxed atmosphere. The dreamy Château Amiri comes to life at Le Carreau du Temple, a hotel-like venue where the outdoor gardens are recreated indoors, complete with fountains and overhead plants.
