It is located in Ginza, a city where artisan culture lives and where cutting-edge trends and history intersect. The interior of the store was directed by Yuka Tanaka, designer and creative director of SIXTH NIGHT. In order to maximize the presence of the jewelry itself, unnecessary decoration has been eliminated and the design is centered on natural materials such as iron, earth, and stone. It is a tranquil and warm space that evokes respect for Japanese aesthetics and handiwork. The solid wood table that supports the space in the center of the store has been passed down from Tanaka’s great-grandfather for four generations. His great-grandfather, who ran a confectionery factory in Busan, South Korea, brought a log table back by ship when he returned home during the chaotic period after the war. It was reconstructed into a table to symbolize the brand philosophy of “connecting to the next generation.” The showcases that surround the central table are also individually crafted by skilled Japanese ironworkers. In addition, in the reception area, there is a mosaic table made of natural stones and pearls that the designer collected when purchasing in Arizona and Hong Kong. The natural stones were cut one by one by craftsmen in Kofu for this occasion. It is a playful table that brings together the story of jewelry making from upstream to downstream.
