collaboration item with Andy the Mouse, a character created by popular illustrator and painter Seiji Matsumoto. The items will be available for pre-sale at Timberland Boutique Tokyo in Daikanyama, Tokyo on Friday, July 4th, and will be available at Timberland directly managed stores in the future. Mr. Seiji Matsumoto was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1986. After graduating from Osaka University of Arts, he started his career as a designer, gained experience in Tokyo, and moved to the United States to begin his career as an artist in earnest. In 2017, he presented “Andy the Mouse” at his first solo exhibition in New York, and since then, he has held solo exhibitions in cities both in Japan and abroad, working on art in various fields, and is currently active in an atelier at the foot of a mountain in Nagano Prefecture. And “Andy the Mouse” is a character who is “a tailless mouse boy who loves to eat and always thinks about cheese.” This collaboration between Timberland and “Andy the Mouse” includes the brown hand-sewn moccasin shoes “Three Eye Classic Rug” and two T-shirt colors, black and white. The “Three Eye Classic Rug” features a newly drawn “mouse Andy” engraved on the two sides of the toe, and the shoelaces have been updated to a special coffee color. The T-shirt features a single accent of “mouse Andy” and the iconic Timberland tree logo on the right chest area on the front, and a humorous graphic of “mouse Andy” lying on the “Three Eye Classic Rug” is boldly printed on the back. Timberland Boutique Tokyo will begin pre-sales on Friday, July 4th, and the exterior will be decorated in “Andy the Mouse” style from that day. Furthermore, to commemorate the collaboration, a workshop where parents and children can enjoy making pass cases will be held at Timberland Boutique Tokyo from July 12th (Sat) to 13th (Sun). Pass cases are increasingly being used not only for electronic cards and IC card tickets, but also for entering and exiting lessons and cram schools, and by adding special parts such as designs featured in this collaboration item, you can create a one-of-a-kind original pass case. In addition, as a collaborative initiative with the cafe “ANDY COFFEE” produced by Matsumoto Seiji, a special sticker (limited quantity) will be given away to those who bring flyers from their stores to each other’s stores.
