The Kyoto-based fashion brand “TOKIARI” was established in 2022 and has had a store on the 4th floor of the department store Fujii Daimaru in Kyoto since November 2022. In order to expand the business, we established Tokizai Fashion Design LLC as a corporation in December 2023. In addition to operating our existing brands and directly managed stores, we are also strengthening sales through our e-commerce site, wholesale to select shops both overseas and domestically, developing collaborative products, developing original products for select shops and companies, and producing original uniforms for restaurants and other stores. The brand concept is to use expressive natural materials and to utilize craftsmanship down to the smallest details. The fabric is made of natural materials with a unique texture, and the sewing is carefully finished with fine needlework. The silhouette is inspired by kimonos, and the minimalist details and calm colors embody the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi. We bring sewing machines and irons into the Kyoto department store (Fujii Daimaru) and actually create our products in the atelier space inside the store.
