In his childhood, Monsieur Dior enjoyed the beauty of the ever-changing flowers in the mansion’s garden, where a fascinating compass rose, a symbol of the sea that indicates direction, was painted in mosaic decoration. Victoire de Castellane has taken this wonderful
inspiration and created the Rose des Vents collection, which is a rich variety of creations with various interpretations. The iconic medallion is timelessly refined, yet evokes unforgettable journeys and homages to the past. The medallion, bordered in gold with a rice grain motif reminiscent of a sailor’s rope, is decorated with an
eight-pointed compass rose, reminiscent of Christian Dior’s lucky number, and a single diamond. The other side is enhanced by colored stones such as mother-of-pearl, pink opal, onyx and malachite.
