We will be holding the first ever pop-up event “The Relationship Between Alternative Rock, Photography, and Art,” curated by the gallery “OPEN STUDIO,” which is attached to our Shibuya store. This project is a special exhibition that explores how music, photography, and art are linked together and have influenced fashion trends, centering on “alternative rock,” which flourished in the 1990s. electronica, but when we add the relationship with photography and art to the mix, what genre do we imagine? The “alternative rock” movement, which flourished in the 1980s around independent labels and then blossomed in the 1990s, has a very interesting relationship with photography and art. Unravelling this, we can see why it has had such a huge impact on fashion.
