It transforms natural topography into textured expressions through craftsmanship. This season, the iconic Puzzle bag is reimagined in this way for the first time, highlighting its geometric structure with vibrant leather. The collection also includes a new Flamenco clutch, as well as leather accessories such as card holders and wallets, all of which feature meticulously crafted undulating gradations of color and texture. To create the Landscape series, Loewe’s artisans use a range of complex leathercraft techniques. In the atelier, contrasting leathers are precisely cut and compressed into rippling forms that evoke rock formations and topographical maps. Each panel is then scraped away, using a specialist technique known as “skimming,” to reveal the contrasting surfaces hidden beneath. The interplay of depth, texture and tones that emerge from this process mimics the beauty of coastal landscapes and the stripes that form on the earth’s surface, reflecting Loewe’s relentless commitment to material excellence and craft innovation.
