The brand name comes from Julio Nove (9th of July Avenue), the widest street in the world, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The name symbolizes the brand’s philosophy of “free and relaxed travel.” Until now, all bags have been produced in the United States, but the brand was temporarily suspended in February 2022 due to the closure of the factory. The brand has found a new direction and restarted in August 2022. The bag collection is produced in Japan under the supervision of designer Garrett, inheriting the same manufacturing methods as before. The material used is highly water-repellent ripstop. HIGH! STANDARD The store opened in 1982 after renovating a former foreign military doctor’s house built in the early Showa period.
