So, let’s create an event that makes people want to go! This new local event, “u,” was born from that idea. Bring a little something out of the ordinary and a little excitement into the everyday life you spend with your children. Through children’s clothing, we weave together the passion and connections that mothers share. Organizer’s comment Even while raising children, mothers want to enjoy fashion in their own way. This event, “u,” was born from the wish of such mothers. “An event like the ones in the city, even in San’in.” This project, which started with that idea, has resonated with many people through social media, and this is the second time it’s being held. This time, popular shops from all over Japan that are trending on social media, as well as wonderful artists and shops active in San’in, will gather in Matsue. It’ll be a special day where you can actually touch and feel the “good things and cute things” from within and outside the prefecture. Loom owner comment When we were designing the POP-UP plan for Loom, we were expecting it to be used at the Challenge Shop level, but we were honestly surprised by the high level of the first “u” event. The item selections and outfits from the three sponsoring brands were, of course, all cute, but the lineup of participating brands was also very captivating, and it was clear that they had really put effort into creating an event that was geared towards local mothers raising children. I think the large number of attendees, despite it being the first event, was proof of this. Since this was our first attempt, we apologize for any inconvenience caused to our visitors and have some things to reflect on. As a member of team “u” (lol), I’ve come even stronger for this second event! Together with everyone at “u” and the many other exhibitors, we’re committed to making this an even more satisfying POP-UP event than the last, so please look forward to it.
