The visual theme for spring/summer 2025 is “TROPISM”. “TROPISM” derives from “tropism,” the property of plants to move in a specific direction in response to external stimuli such as light and gravity. Translating this concept to humans, we find that we have both an introvert side (turning towards ourselves) and an extrovert side (turning towards the outside world). However, they are not clearly separated, but blend into each other as if they were one continuous quality. Our visual impressions change depending on location, time, and emotion, and we can appear introverted in one situation and extroverted in another, and these changes occur naturally. In this way, the aim of this season’s visuals is to visually express people’s inner movements and changes.
