The exhibition combines textile technology and art and will be held from April 12th to July 31st, 2025. Since April 2021, Wakuwaku Park Create Co., Ltd., a member of the Yanmar Group, has been entrusted with the management of Nagai Park, the venue for the event, as a designated management company. Nagai Park is a lush urban park with the theme of “food, sports, art, and learning.” It is a place where lille3000 can realize its desire to “want art to be enjoyed by as many people as possible, rather than in a special place like a museum.” Yanmar, whose brand statement is “A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE – Towards a new wealth through technology.”, agreed with the theme of this exhibition, “AMAZING FASHION, DESIGN & ART USE & RE-USE,” and decided to co-sponsor the exhibition. At the exhibition, we plan to display sustainable materials such as environmentally friendly fibers, as well as works made from upcycled items that would otherwise be thrown away. lille3000 was formed after the city of Lille was elected European Capital of Culture in 2004. As the city of Lille was once a region with a thriving textile industry, it launched the exhibition series “Futurotextiles” to explore textiles, and holds exhibitions that combine textiles, design and art around the world. Following the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, 2015 Milan World Expo, and 2021 Dubai World Expo, we will once again demonstrate the possibilities of textiles through exhibitions during the 2025 Japan World Expo (Osaka/Kansai Expo). More than 60 international designers and companies will be exhibiting at this exhibition.
