As a female entrepreneur, I propose a new culture that combines fashion and intestinal activity. LUNDATTE Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Chie Kimura), which develops high-waisted boxer shorts “Gut Good Pants” that protect men’s intestines and health. We passed the document screening and semi-final screening and were selected as a finalist in the “Women’s Business Grand Prix 2025″ sponsored by Shinagawa City. The Grand Prix final judging will be held on February 23, 2025, and will also be streamed online in real time. LUNDATTE is a healthcare brand that is attracting attention for its approach that fuses intestinal health and fashion. Our main product, “Gut Good Pants,” was developed as a product to take care of the stomach problems that approximately one in seven adult men suffer from, and is both comfortable and stylish. This unique perspective of “a woman developing a product for men” caught the attention of the judges. We were recognized for our accomplishments, including increasing recognition through numerous media coverage to date, our drive to take action through our solo exhibition at NY NOW, the largest exhibition in the United States (August 2024), and our selection as an overseas member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Women’s Entrepreneurship Program and as a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry RED finalist. In addition, their future prospects, including the development of supplements and smart devices, were highly evaluated, leading to their selection as finalists.

View details ​ Development story 01 Zero connections and no know-how For men who get off the commuter train halfway! Although we decided to launch it in 2021, we spent a year approaching a total of about 100 companies. During that time, I bought a lot of ready-made items and dismantled them one by one to study the structure of pants. It was all a matter of groping around, to the point where I realized for the first time a year after I started working that the pants I wanted to make couldn’t be made using traditional manufacturing methods. 02 Bankruptcy after feeling positive With the cooperation of world-renowned companies, we started developing fabrics and products with multiple companies, but we were unable to produce what we had hoped for and continued to struggle. A person I happened to meet introduced me to a company that had a special knitting machine, and I was finally able to create something close to what I had in mind! However, the company went bankrupt three days after the final prototype was completed. I want to contribute to Japan! Just as I was thinking this, I felt frustrated at my own lack of strength. 03 Cooperation with world-class companies After searching for a company for two years without giving up, something unexpected happened: a prestigious company that is active globally said, “We want to support you.” Continuing on this journey, we finally reached the point where sales began on June 25, 2024, three years after the concept was conceived.
