https://prcdn.freetls.fastly.net/release_image/80812/67/80812-67-3d1c0e5c4c9978c9659d4d54aac68dc0-589×590.jpg As a related event to Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2025 A/W, Bunka Fashion College (Bunka Gakuen Educational Corporation, location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Takaetsu Kiyoki, Director: Sachiko Aihara) will hold a fashion show by students from the Fashion Engineering Course* and the Fashion Crafts Course at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Laforet Harajuku from 17:00 on Sunday, March 9th. Among the 36 students enrolled in the target departments and courses, 6 students were selected through internal screening from among the 36 students who applied, and will present a collection that combines a runway show by 5 students and an exhibition of works by 1 student. *Excluding Fashion Advanced Specialist Course The theme is
“individual”. Please enjoy the runway show where the personalities of young creators who will be responsible for the future of fashion compete. 90% of students have no experience in making clothes These students have studied fashion in an environment where 90% of the students have no experience making clothes. The six participants this time also started learning without any experience. The Fashion Engineering Specialization Course is a course that accumulates knowledge and techniques in clothing making and develops specialists with a high level of expertise in all processes such as marketing, planning, design, and production. The students learned about fashion comprehensively while acquiring advanced techniques related to clothing. In addition, in the fashion crafts course, students systematically acquire specialized knowledge and techniques in textiles, which are the basis of fashion expression, and in the production of goods, which are an important element of fashion and add color to the details. The results will be expressed in this fashion show.
