installment of the Japan-based collection “TIMBERLAND BY TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE” directed by the Tokyo-based design team TDC (TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE). “TIMBERLAND BY TOKYO DESIGN COLLECTIVE” is a premium collection that reconstructs and re-edits Timberland’s heritage style, which is the roots of “American work and outdoor”, in a modern style using traditional Japanese craftsmanship.We aim to propose and disseminate a new “Timberland” style from Japan to the world by creating a concept for each season. We have lined up borderless and wearable functional streetwear that can be used in all fields, transcending the boundaries between “outdoors” and “city,” as everyday wear for people who freely move between a wide range of fields, from cities to nature, as their places of play. For the Spring/Summer 2025 season, we have reimagined Milanese style, incorporating iconic white and pop colors inspired by Milanese fashion in the 1980s. The collection’s lineup includes a water-repellent nylon spring coat, a varsity jacket with a distinctive logo, a 90’s signature anorak reconstructed with lightweight nylon, a plaid shirt using the American Lyrical plaid pattern that has been available since past seasons, and a 23-piece lineup including hoodies, sweatpants, and T-shirts with the standard Timbs logo. In terms of design, we optimize garment details and propose smooth, flowing cuts to balance
