Imagine carving your way down an open road under the sky. The new Intra-Matic takes inspiration from Hamilton’s first automatic chronograph, the Chronograph A, which became an instant hit upon its introduction in 1968. The distinctive “panda face” design with two black subdials on a white dial and perforated leather strap perfectly express the aesthetics and ideals of American driving culture in the 1960s. The new Intra-Matic has successfully inherited the lineage of design and performance to the present day. Each of the three variants features a stealth black 40mm case and a notable design that breaks new ground for the Intra-Matic series.

The striking electric yellow and orange model features bright pops of color in the perforations on the chronograph hands, tachymeter and strap. Inspired by the design elements of modern supercars, the Intra-Matic captures the power and passion of auto racing through Hamilton’s innovative craftsmanship and pioneering precision. The PVD treatment on the case and strap buckle is a perfect combination of style and functionality. This multi-layer protection, just 1/1000000 millimeters thick, is corrosion resistant. In addition to two sub-dials, the Intra-Matic features a chronograph hand, a date display and a tachymeter. The latest models work with a chronograph hand to measure the average speed between two points based on elapsed time. When stopped, the chronograph hand indicates the average speed on the tachymeter. Pressing the bottom button once returns the chronograph hand to the 12 o’clock position, ready for the next measurement. Featuring a 28-jewel movement and a typical 60-hour lifespan, the Intra-Matic Auto Chrono has tremendous power under the hood, like a racing supercar.
