SISIO is a brand founded in 2018 by designer Charlotte Hsiao after studying at Central Saint Martins in London and Parsons School of Design in New York. After fashion weeks in Paris and New York, we held a solo runway show in Tokyo after announcing our 2025 Spring/Summer collection. SISIO’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection “ANITYA ” was born from designer Charlotte Hsiao’s journey and deep respect for nature. The beauty of the impermanence woven through natural phenomena, such as the solitary experiences in Iceland and Greenland, and the reality of the climate crisis in Los Angeles, resonates with the perspective of modern science and Buddhist philosophy, which describes the cycle of four periods that explain the creation and disappearance of the world: “formation, residence, destruction, and emptiness.” The color palette of the collection is warm neutrals rooted in the earth and ocean blue. Using ice-dye and tie-dye techniques to express the changing colors of the aurora borealis and glaciers, we pay close attention to sustainability and biodegradability in all fabric selections, paying close attention to the environment. A soundscape created in collaboration with Japanese indie rock band Sly envelops the collection with the heartbeat of nature and dreamy melodies. The designer recorded natural soundscapes that he felt while visiting Iceland, such as the whisper of the wind, the roar of waterfalls, and the rhythm of the wild heartbeat. These sounds were layered together, and with the addition of a dreamy guitar arrangement and lead singer Hector’s melancholy voice, the result was a sonic landscape that transports the listener to the heart of nature. This collection is a homage to impermanence and a meditation on the strength of nature. It is also a call to action to think about the choices that will shape our common future.
