collection, which will be launched this summer with a series of surprise events and takeovers of hotel spaces. Commenting on Burberry’s High Summer 2025 Capsule Collection, Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee says, “We wanted to capture the joy of British summer. It’s like a kickstart to summer. We want people to remember that Burberry is an all-season brand.” Soaking in the sun and hanging out with the seagulls on a yacht named Checkmate; to celebrate the collection, Wish You Were Here was released, starring Burberry friends Rosie
Huntington-Whiteley, tennis player Jack Draper, models Alvar Claire and Babaker Ndoye. Captured on a 35mm camera, the film captures everything from sun loungers to yacht decks, popsicles to floats, and even random scuba divers*. This is what Lee calls “Burberry’s celluloid postcards”, with British idiosyncrasies and humour. He says he was inspired by various “incredible yachting and vacation images” he found in the archives. This new film features the theme song from Shipping Forecast, a BBC Radio weather forecast program for the waters surrounding the British Isles, which is familiar to many in the UK. The story uses humor to express the idea of ​​“Wish You Were Here” and a fun two-week trip under the sun, but with rain back home. The cast members will appear in checked swimwear and shirt dresses, silk dresses and shirts from Burberry’s High Summer Capsule Collection. The shorts feature a knotted logo and a marine motif that resembles a sailing ship, and are worn with slides or espadrilles. The bag is eye-catching with its beautiful crochet and jacquard fabric that gives it a summer feel. To coincide with the launch of this new collection, we will be holding events in two exciting locations: The Newt in Somerset, UK, and The Standard in Ibiza, Spain.
