PlaX(TM) is an environmentally friendly material developed by Bioworks, which is made by adding plant-based additives originally developed by the company to a biomass material made from sugar obtained from sugarcane and other sources. PlaX(TM) not only uses less CO2 and water during its manufacturing process, but because it is a plant-based material that does not rely on petroleum, it is also attracting attention as a recyclable material, as it can be decomposed by microorganisms under certain conditions. This season, we have developed a fabric that blends PlaX(TM) and cotton, and are offering items made of fabric and jersey material. A pajama shirt with a cool sleeveless design paired with loose trousers and a nightdress of the same type as the pajama shirt are available in a refreshing citron coloring. The lineup of jersey materials includes French sleeve T-shirts with a dry feel and dresses with boxy silhouettes, designed to be comfortable to wear during Japan’s long hot summers. Image
