Representative Director and CEO: Aki Hayashi; hereinafter referred to as “BRAND JOURNALISMS”), which journalistically conveys the messages and stories of companies and brands, is pleased to announce an editor’s bag created in collaboration with the women’s brand “SUESADA” by Ryosuke Suesada, a fashion designer with experience in Paris. While expressing the uniqueness of SUESADA, we also pursue functional beauty that reflects the editor’s sense of the issue. It features a design that can be used timelessly by both men and women, both on and off. Sewn in a domestic factory using high quality Italian leather. Limited production, orders will be accepted from April 15th. It will be delivered to you this summer. About SUESADA SUESADA is a Japanese women’s brand that started in 2017. Designer Suesada gained experience working at a collection brand in Paris before launching his own brand in Japan. Although we are based on European style, mainly from France, we pay close attention to detail and propose an image of women who are both independent, sexy, and strong. We have many male fans, and we develop fashion styles for adults that take advantage of the craftsmanship that is unique to Japanese products.

JOURNALISM’s mission is to bring editorial and journalistic
perspectives and know-how to companies and brands, and we have supported the creation of numerous business contexts. During his experience as a reporter and editor, our representative Hayashi has had many concerns about bags, and has often had conversations with colleagues and friends about bag-related issues and the ideal bag. Why are women’s bags relatively small in size and have thin handles? On- and off-duty work has merged, remote work has become commonplace, and more and more people are carrying around computers and tablets, but for some reason these items often don’t fit in their bags. Looking around the market, there seems to be a limited number of universal designs that fully meet the needs of both men and women both on and off duty. Additionally, in recent years, there has been an increase in the number of people who not only work as editors but also engage in “editing,” such as disseminating information and stories on SNS, blogs, videos, etc. In an era where more output is required, we approached Mr. Suesada about creating a future editor’s bag that is sophisticated, functional, and durable for everyone who edits. The design is easy for both men and women to use, and it can be worn over the shoulder so that both hands are free when reporting. It can store A4 documents, books, PCs, writing utensils, and daily necessities for sudden business trips, all at once, and is easy to put in and take out. Made of durable, high-quality genuine leather that doesn’t show dirt or scratches… The design was put together by Mr. Suesada based on various opinions and research, and by combining Italian leather with domestic sewing techniques, an editor’s bag was completed that combines functional beauty and the brand’s worldview.

craftsmanship Made from genuine Italian leather and finished at a sewing factory in Japan. It has an attractive grain texture and an elegant texture that prevents scratches from being noticeable and allows you to enjoy the texture of the leather for a long time. 2. Curves and straight lines, genderless silhouettes While the gentle curve at the top of the bag gives a soft impression, the overall shape is linear and fits well both on and off. Regardless of gender or generation, it blends naturally into the wearer’s attire. 3. Copper metal parts Adopts copper-colored metal fittings that blend well with the skin, which is a feature of SUESADA. It creates a moderate presence without being too flashy. 4. Multi-storage design to enhance functionality It reflects the needs of editing and reporting sites, such as a pocket for storing A4-sized documents and a notebook PC, and a pen holder. Supports editing work on the go. 5. Supporting post-corona work style Nowadays, we can freely choose the place to work or do activities, so you can carry everything you need with you, and it has a large capacity that can store overnight luggage. The copper metal fittings on the bottom are durable enough to support active activities. It is useful regardless of whether it is on or off.

The background of my work is based on work that connects business scenes and creativity, and images of people. When designing the bag, we are conscious of the subtle curves in its form and the balance of vertical and horizontal dimensions, creating a universal impression that can be worn by both men and women. We hope that the bag, which took three to four years to complete from selecting the leather to adjusting the pattern, will become a reliable partner for busy people. Comment from Aki Hayashi, Representative Director and CEO of BRAND JOURNALISM I hope I can improve the way editors work, live their lives, and improve their output through the bags that I have always had trouble with while working in the field myself. This project began as a symbolic presence in a sense. We wanted to create a more functional, high-quality, and long-lasting bag that supports the daily editing activities of everyone, not just professional editors. Guided by SUESADA’s aesthetic sense, problem-solving approach, and Japanese manufacturing, the editor’s bag of the future has been completed. We would be happy if anyone who wants high quality, regardless of gender or age, can use it as a companion who shares their editing and creation days. Image
