collaboration with photographer “JOSEPH SZABO”, who has held photo exhibitions mainly in New York, the United States, and around the world. Starting with his 1978 masterpiece “Almost Grown,” which chronicled the youth of teenagers, he influenced and admired photographers of all generations, creating a cult following in the worlds of fashion, advertising, and photography. The image of a girl walking on the beach, with a languid atmosphere, and smoking a cigarette is one of his masterpieces, depicting the struggles of a teenager who is neither an adult nor a child. It is also famous as the cover photo for the American alternative rock band “Dinoaur Jr.” in 1991.

This work, “Hometown,” is a collection of a series of suburban landscape photographs taken by Joseph Sabo on Long Island between 1973 and 1980. It instantly evokes nostalgia, recalling fond memories of Mr. Szabo’s childhood and youth spent in the suburbs.

Mr. Joseph Sabo was also a teacher. This work was possible because I had an exquisite sense of distance from the children.
