He currently plays for Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1. He started his career with Gamba Osaka and played in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria before moving to France in 2023. This season, his second year in France, he became the first Japanese player to score in five consecutive games in a major European league. He has also been active as a member of the Japan national team, scoring 6 points in 6 games since his debut against Uruguay in 2023, achieving a record for the first time in 54 years.
