Prior to the release, we will begin accepting reservations on “J’aDoRe JUN ONLINE” on Friday, April 18th. This time, we have used photos from two scenes: the scene in which the three leads, Roberto Benigni, Tom Waits, and John Lurie, are escaping on a boat when they are evacuated from the water, and the final scene where Roberto Benigni and Nicoletta Braschi, who later became his wife, embrace each other. Down By Law Tom Waits is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer-songwriter, musician and actor. John Lurie, who has been involved in Jim Jarmusch’s work since appearing in and producing the music for his debut film “Permanent Vacation”, and Roberto, an Italian comedy actor, comedian, and film director. This is Jim Jarmusch’s culminating third work, starring Benigni (Roberto Benigni). Set in New Orleans, thug Jack (John Lurie) and radio DJ Zach (Tom Waits) are placed in the same prison cell, and are joined by eccentric Italian tourist Roberto (Roberto Benigni). Robby Müller’s black and white photography humorously depicts the three men, who were bonded by a strange friendship in the same cell, escaping from prison through a loophole they found by chance, continuing on their journey with no destination, and eventually starting to walk their own paths and lives. Jim Jarmusch American film director born in 1953. Studied film at New York University, and produced “Permanent Vacation” as his graduation film in 1980, which became his directorial debut. His first commercial film “Stranger Than Paradise” was released in 1984, and his current film “Down By Law” was released in 1986. It has been nominated in four categories at the Independent Spirit Awards, which was established in 1984, and has been highly praised by the late film critic Nagaharu Yodogawa, and continues to receive high praise as an independent movie.
