The “NordShield(R)” series is primarily used to apply antibacterial and deodorizing treatment to apparel and textile products. Because it has high antibacterial and deodorizing effects, it can reduce the number of washes, save water usage, and make winter outerwear, tops, hats, etc. last longer while maintaining cleanliness. Additionally, “NordShield(R)” is a water-soluble liquid and does not require a binder (resin required for adhering antibacterial agents), so it is expected to reduce the thermal energy used in the
manufacturing process and contribute to decarbonization. Furthermore, each grade of “NordShield(R)” has received bluesign(R) certification. Manufacturer’s Shirt Kamakura, nicknamed “Kamakura Shirt,” has recently adopted “NordShield BioLayr(R),” an antibacterial and deodorizing technology for natural fibers from the “NordShield(R)” series. “NordShield BioLayr(R)” is a natural ingredient extracted from coniferous wood chips, and it contributes to decarbonization and sustainability in the manufacturing process.As a result of repeated verification and testing at Sinanen Zeomic’s laboratory, it was selected for its antibacterial and deodorizing effects as well as its high antibacterial properties against the bacteria that cause the dry odor, and its effectiveness was confirmed to last even after 30 washes. Sinanen Zeomic has started handling the “NordShield(R)” series, and this is the first case in Japan where it has been adopted.
