Following the Harajuku store that opened in 2021, the long-awaited street-front store from Western Japan will open on the same day, in the fourth year! After traveling to America many times in the 1950s, Redman (Masamichi Ishibashi) was given the Indian name “REDMAN” by the Kiowa tribe in Oklahoma, where he was officially welcomed as one of their members. For over half a century since then, we have not been particularly open about our brand development, but now that the world has entered a new phase, we have decided to officially launch our brand to the world, with the aim of conveying the inherent power and beauty of nature and each person through our work.

He aspired to be a painter, and while working on stage art and costumes for classical ballet, he also performed on numerous stages as a dancer. While making stage props, he learned engraving techniques on his own. In the 1950s, he moved to the United States and began interacting with Native Americans. He was fascinated by their culture and traditions and became absorbed in making Native American jewelry and accessories. He was given the Indian name “REDMAN” by the Kiowa tribe of Oklahoma. Since then, his passion for Indian art and his handmade craftsmanship have continued for over half a century.
