A “special occasion” look that suits you best – Kimono Yamato, operated by Yamato Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takayuki Yajima), will begin selling and renting its new “Harenohi Kosode” series on Friday, August 8, 2025. It will be available at Kimono Yamato stores nationwide and the Yamato online store. The “Harenohi Kosode” is an easy-care, authentic kimono that adds a touch of elegance to everyday “special occasions,” such as ceremonies like weddings and graduations, as well as days when you want to calm your nerves or spend time with loved ones. It features hand-painted yuzen and hikizome dyeing techniques at Okayama Kogei, a Kyoto workshop.
