Yamagin Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is collaborating with OPA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “OPA”) to hold the “Sustainable Uniform Design Award 2025”, a design competition for fashion students as the fourth project of the “Sustainable Project”. The Grand Prix-winning design will be adopted as the information uniform design worn at some OPA, VIVRE, and FORUS stores, and will begin to be worn sequentially from this April.

As part of this project, we are soliciting uniform designs that are functional while emphasizing sustainability under the theme of “positively exciting sustainable fashion.”The designs are selected from a large number of applications through voting by customers and OPA employees. OPA has previously held a variety of projects in addition to clothing collection projects aimed at recycling resources in collaboration with local communities. Since this is sustainable fashion, we chose a design and shape that will not be influenced by trends. It was my first time designing a uniform, but my first priority was to think about how I could make the person wearing it and the customers who use the store happy. It was very difficult to come up with a design that focused on
sustainability, and I had to redraw it many times to complete it, so I am very happy that it won the Grand Prix. Thank you very much for giving me such a valuable opportunity. This event was the 4th edition of our sustainable project with OPA, where we were able to express the excitement of fashion through easy-to-wear designs, environmentally friendly materials, and true fashion.
■About after wearing: BIOTECHWORKS-H2(R) Once worn, our affiliated company BIOTECHWORKS-H2(R) will collect them and convert them into renewable energy without producing any waste. We can provide stakeholders with CO2 reduction data when converting to renewable energy as evidence, and help contribute to building carbon neutrality.
