Earth Day, celebrated on April 22nd, is a day to think about the earth and the environment and appreciate the beautiful natural environment.It has a history of nearly 50 years since its establishment, and today environmental activities are carried out in various countries and regions. Mountain Hardware has been conducting environmental awareness activities on Earth Day under the theme of “Keep Earth Awesome.” This Earth Day, we will be selling collaboration T-shirts with the theme of the “white nights” seen at the North Pole by photographer Uruma Takezawa, and the design boldly incorporates the natural light that Uruma encountered. Each of the three types of T-shirts is designed with images of the thin white ice that forms on the wings of a black swan in an extremely cold region, a rock wall in the middle of polar winter, and an iceberg off the coast of Kanak at sunset, and comes in a variety of colors that allow you to feel the various lights of the North Pole. “KEEP EARTH AWESOME” is printed on the back, and the material is made of 100% recycled polyester with a soft, cotton-like feel. Cioraparc is the northernmost village in the world. Climate change is also having a big impact on the lives of the people who hunt and live in this area. In winter, they go hunting on dog sleds. However, as the sea becomes less frozen, the hunting period has become shorter. Unstable ice conditions also pose a danger to them. The causes of climate change are not the people living in the polar regions, but the individual actions of those of us who live far away from them. Living in the city, far from nature, is putting a strain on the polar regions. We may need to be conscious of that connection once again and reconsider it.
